SOFCOT 1st Vice-President

Christophe Hulet has been Professor of Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery at Caen University Hospital, Normandy, University of Normandy, since 2002. He is Head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, and has been a member of the exceptional class since 2022. He is Vice-Chairman of the CME of the Caen University Hospital, and is responsible for regional and inter-regional teaching of the DES in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, as well as for the GCS Main (SOS Main and FESUM). He is an active member of the G4, which brings together Lille, Caen, Rouen and Amines, and holds an Habilitation to direct research.  He is also a member of INSERM UMR-S 1075 COMETE “Mobilité : Attention, Orientation & Chronobiologie” Normandie Université UNICAEN. He has been ORTHORISQ accredited since 2009. He is a member of CNU section 50-02. He is a full member of the Académie Nationale de Chirurgie. He is a member of the Collège français des chirurgiens orthopédistes (CFCOT), SOFCOT, Société Francophone d'arthroscopie (SFA), Société Française de la Hanche et du Genou (SFHG), SOO (Société Orthopédie Ouest), AFCA (Association Française de Chirurgie Ambulatoire), ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy), ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine), ICRS (The International Cartilage Repair Society), Acl study Group. He was President of the SFA 2009-2011, Chairman of the ESSKA PARIS 2022 Scientific Program, President SOO 2023, Vice President elect SOFCOT 2026. He has published over 150 articles and/or book chapters on degenerative and sports surgery of the lower limbs, as well as on the biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system.
