Communication accepted for the Congress and presented by an author under 35 years. The winners will be chosen by a jury upon submission of the
PowerPoint presentation. The document must be received by the Secretariat at least one month before the Congress.
  • SOFCOT award for best communication (*): 2,000 €
  • OTSR/ELSEVIER/SOFCOT Award : 1,500 €. 1 iPad Mini (32 GB) with the following downloadable contents: 2017 Instructional course Lectures + a year access to RCOT’s journal for the best paper published in 2017 in OTSR
  • DESC Academy Award (AOT): Free registration and full support (travel and accommodation) to attend the „FORTE Summer School“ Course organized by EFORT for surgeons at the end of their internship, and at the beginning of their practice in a clinic.
  • Prix Innovation et recherche Frantz Langlais (*) : 2,000 € FICOT (Foundation for Innovation in Orthopedics and Traumatology) Innovation Award in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. It is awarded to an author of a clinical research communication aged under 35.
  • SHAM Risk management Award in orthopedics: 2,500 €. This award recognizes the best article dealing about risk management in orthopedics.
  • FHP Award (Federation of Private Hospitals) Research in Clinical Sciences: 1,500 €. This award recognizes the research work of a young surgeon, during or at the end of his training.
  • Pol Blaimont francophone international scientific Award : 4,000 €. Application deadline: September 30, 2017.
This award aims to reward an Orthopedic Surgeon, a team of Orthopedic Surgeons, a team of scientists, presenting an original work of basic research
in orthopedics-traumatology. The award will be presented at the SOFCOT annual conference.
Applications, in French, will be sent before September 30, Ms. Turri, Secretariat, Pr F Schuind, Orthopedic-Traumatology Service, Clinics of Brussels
University, Erasmus Hospital, 808 route de Lennik, B-1070 Brussels, Belgium - to be reviewed by the Scientific
selection Committee.


The digital version of the final program (for downloading and printing) will be available from October 1st on the SoFCOT website. A printed "pocket" version will be included in the Congress bags; there will also be a smartphone app.
